Spring Summer 2016: A Neo-Futurist mood and artisan sartorial spirit.

SPRING SUMMER 2016 PRESS RELEASE

ENNEMENOUNO's Spring Summer 2016 Women's Collection "Oiseaux Noirs" touts artisan craftsmanship, contrasting textures and sharp silhouettes through a striking graphic neo-futurist mood which seeks to breathe new life into a femminine and constructivist spirit.

ENNEMENOUNO’s Spring Summer 2016 is entitled “Oiseaux Noirs” which expresses a bold neo-futurist aesthetic where a delicate pastel palette balances monchromatic prints, applications and embroidery.  The minimalist floral pattern “shadows of flowers” adorns coats, jackets and dresses and the hand drawn embroidered applications “birds in flight” complete the fulcrum of the collection which mixes silk, tulle and cotton with more tecnical fabrics such as pastel neoprene and eco-leather. Elegance, simplicty and originality is the “fil rouge” of the collection making the entire line synonymous with neo-minimal refinement.

"It is the limitation of means that determines style, gives rise to new forms and makes creativity possible." -Georges Braque

"Color possesses me. I don't have to pursue it. It will possess me always, I know it. That is the meaning of this happy hour: Color and I are one. I am a painter." -Paul Klee

“I was left alone there in the company of the orchids, roses and violets, which, like people waiting beside you who do not know you, preserved a silence which their individuality as living things made all the more striking, and warmed themselves in the heat of a glowing coal fire...” -Marcel Proust, In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower

"Take the birds which you'll have noticed in so many of my recent paintings. I never thought them up, they just materialized of their own accord; they were born on the canvas... it is absurd to read any sort of symbolic significance into them." -Georges Braque

"To live in a place where I am not, and in a time that is either past nor yet come." -Kleist

"...and deep-green serpentine spotted with flakes of snow, and marbles, that half refuse and half yield to sunshine, Cleopatra-like, their bluest veins to kiss - the shadow, as it steals back from them, revealing line after line of azure undulation, as a receding tide leaves the waved sand." -Ruskin

“Here all guilt ceases, for it cannot cling to such flowers as these.” -The Anti-Oedipus

"Color is the place where our brain and the universe meet." -Paul Klee
